Laughter is a free gift, it is the best medicine! We can laugh ourselves happier and we can laugh ourselves healthier. We can use our laughter to help us deal with stress: and although we can’t laugh away our problems, laughter gives us greater clarity, creativity and calmness to enable us to face up to them more effectively.
Laughter is energising and is good for the body, mind and spirit. Workshops enable children and teachers to discover the benefits of laughing which help to reduce stress and aid relaxation.
Laughter workshops help to...
- Explore and teach the benefits of laughter as a tool for personal development, health and joy.
- Develop inner confidence

- Tone muscles and improve circulation and boost immunity
- Develop positive thinking and creative potential
- Relaxes the body therefore reducing stress and tension

Indian Head Massage Workshops
Indian Head Massage originated in India over a thousand years ago, and was found to have many physical and psychological benefits.
The technique was introduced into the UK in the early 1970's and adapted to include massage of the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. It can be performed with or without the use of oils to the scalp, and the recipient remains fully clothed at all times.
The massage is an extremely relaxing experience which reduces stress levels and tension in the upper part of the body, producing an overall feeling of well-being.
The massage is adapted to suit pupils and young people, who with the pressures from school and examinations etc, can suffer from stress related conditions in a similar way to adults.
These workshops are similar to our Peer massage programme (MISP) but focus primarily on a massage head, shoulders and neck and can be delivered as one off session rather that a course.
