Example workshops could include the following
Working with clay to develop manipulative skills , creativity and knowledge of the different processes. Learning about building, throwing, glazes and decoration, firing.
Batik introducing pupils to the exciting medium of Batik, exploring its traditions Pupils will have the chance to work with specialist tools, dye and wax and create swatches of decorated material which can then be displayed mounted either as individual gift cards or as a patch-worked example for the school.
Mask making
The aim of the workshops proposed will be to deliver a creatively exciting, challenging and therapeutic sessions which will stimulate the senses through the experience of various artistic mediums. It will help individuals to follow instructions, connect and communicate with each other and encourage individual expression as an artist in their own right. This will act to enhance and enrich interpersonal skills, creative inspiration and expression and give the children an opportunity to have lots of artistic freedom and fun!
Circus Skills Enjoy this fun session and achieve! Pupils would have the chance to try various circus skills such as juggling,plate spinning,diabolo and tightrope. The children could put on a demonstration of their skills at a morning assembly for the rest of the school.
Sports Sessions We can provide a variety of sports to include Cricket and handball, dodgeball and football, hockey and athletics and other sports
Lego Workshops LEGO challenge - the famous childrens toy is used to challenge students to build the item which they have been tasked with. 1000s of pieces of lego will be available. We have found this to be popular with students and adults alike!
Dance sessions Dance: All Styles
Cheerleading, Street Cheer, cheerobics (aerobics with poms, vocals and cheer arms) Fitness: Boxercise, circuits, aerobics, Hula Hoops
Tai Chi Tai Chi is a series of flowing movements combined with breathing techniques to bring about better posture, improved focus, calming the mind, breathing deeper. Inspired by the martial arts and descended from a practice called Qigong in ancient China, Tai Chi is practiced by school children daily in groups to improve relationships, learning, group interaction working to create a diverse and inclusive learning atmosphere in a fun way.
Yoga Yoga workshops are based around fun class plans that stimulate imagination and help to maintain the child’s natural flexibility. Whilst enjoying a variety of safe postures, the children learn the importance of looking after their bodies, by working on postures for their necks, backs, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles. They will be introduced to yoga games and partner work which encourage children to work in teams and develop their coordination. Classes bring together a combination of stretches, back arches, twists and balances. These help to support and strengthen children, not only physically but also mentally by building confidence in themselves, improving their concentration and helping them to sleep better. All sessions include: warm up and breathing exercises, a focused theme, relaxation and visualisation techniques.
Movie Makers Project Plan and write their story. Write the summary to the story. Choose roles and rehearse the script. Write the Storyboard. Those with parts in the story will practise the dialogue. The remainder of the group will decide on locations for filming, if the Green Screen is to be used and any props/costumes required. Record the soundtrack. Complete the Story Board. The dialogue will be recorded. All storyboards will be completed and film locations will be chosen.
Film the Story. Start designing the DVD cover. Begin filming, production team roles within the group to be handed out. Those not involved with the filming will start designing the DVD face.

Hearing traditional stories, finding and learning stories of our own and performing those
stories in a showcase at the end of the enrichment programme.
Recognising the stories that exist in our everyday lives and how understanding story
structure can help us to overcome blocks and meet new challenges.
Exploring a range of written story resources and undertaking individual research to find a story that resonates and says something to us.
Working as a group to knit our individual stories together into one great big story for performance. Reflecting on our story through the enrichment programme – the journey that we have been on together.
To engage with the production elements involved in creating an event by:
Consistently considering the logistics of putting together an arts event.
Exploring space and making decisions about what will suit the event.
Taking responsibility for key production elements and taking ownership of the event.
Working as a whole group and in pairs to supportively feedback to one another on our performances and to make decisions about how the performance will work as a whole.
Skills Development: Speaking and listening: public speaking: language development: selfesteem:
team working: event management: creative writing: independent research: giving and receiving constructive feedback: reflection and evaluation.
