Whole School Safeguarding and Child Protection Training
We can provide Safeguarding Training for the 'whole school' - this can include your teaching staff, lunchtime supervisors, pastoral staff, administrators, governors and anyone else working in the school.
This session offers the foundation knowledge your school staff need to know in order to keep children safe.
“all staff should receive regular safeguarding and child protection updates as required, and at leastannually, to provide them with relevant skills and knowledge to safeguard children effectively”
Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2018
The training covers the key areas identified in Part 1 of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2018 and includes:

The kinds of harm children and young people may experience,

  • The signs of abuse and neglect.
  • What to do if you have concerns about children’s safety and wellbeing.
  • Recording and communicating concerns.
  • What is likely to happen once you have informed someone about those concerns.
  • Escalating concerns.
  • Understand issues of lack of cooperation and non-compliance.
In addition to covering the statutory framework and lessons from serious case reviews, there are opportunities to revisit the school's policy and procedures to ensure that there is a common understanding and clarity for all staff.
