Nechells+ Education Action Zone used Workshops for Schools to provide a varied menu of activities to a cluster of eight schools during International Week. Children were offered opportunities to engage in Indian Dance, Arts and Crafts activities, Bhangra Bollywood and story telling, Japanese Drumming, Yoga, and Print Making which were presented in a professional manner, fully planned and differentiated to ensure access for all.
Feedback from staff, children and parents was extremely positive and the activities met our objectives of encouraging children to appreciate and value the diversity of people’s backgrounds and circumstances across the cluster.
The workshops encouraged meaningful interaction and gave opportunities to learn about different countries and communities. Working across a cluster of schools can be very complex but Workshops for Schools simplified the process and ensured our children and staff had an amazing experience.
