Workshops for Schools and Nurseries draw on many different skilled artists who have experience of delivering workshops in schools and a wide range of different settings.

Graffiti Project

This work was created by Adam a graffiti artist and illustrator with a class of year 6 Pupils. The triptych of canvasses was created to depict their memories of their time in their Primary School. This was done by designing in their sketch books and then making stencils that were then used to creaet this inspiring canvas.

Making The Most Of Mosaics

This workshop the children explore Italy and look at presentations about mosaics and the Coliseum. Games include Italian dialogue and number fun!

They then work in groups and individually to make mosaic pictures and art.

WFS offer a variety of creative workshops to assist you in celebrating BHM 2011.

  • Music workshops- African Drumming,Percussion, DJ.
  • Dance – African dance. Bollywood Dance, Indian dance. Michael Jackson dance workshop, South American dance, Samba and Zumba.
  • Drama- Musical theatre, role play and improvisation.
  • Story telling- Tales from Africa and Asia.
  • Sport-boxing, martial arts, capoeira.
  • Visual arts – African mask making, sculpture work, jewellery making, cartoon drawing, Print making and textiles Henna.
  • PHSE - Peer massage workshops, Anti bullying.

This creative workshop has a different style and approach! Its themes are personal and social and largely aim to focus on the child's self esteem; their ability to achieve their desired goals and be successful in life.

The workshop encompasses games,perception exercises, develops thinking skills and includes visualisation and relaxation techniques.They study contemporary role models to inspire their own goals.
