Action and Abstraction

This workshop uses music,movement and expression to explore abstract art and how this evokes mood and emotion. Children have the opportunity to look at abstract art and represent their feelings in a 2 dimensional way. They then compose a piece of music based upon a painting.

Making The Most Of Mosaics

This workshop the children explore Italy and look at presentations about mosaics and the Coliseum. Games include Italian dialogue and number fun!

They then work in groups and individually to make mosaic pictures and art.

Natural World

This workshop is based around the work of Andy Goldsworthy and explores the natural environment. Children have the opportunity to collect,investigate and observe natural found objects. They then work in the style of Andy Goldsworthy to create group collage/sculptures. Observational drawings, recording using a camera and print making are also explored.

This creative workshop has a different style and approach! Its themes are personal and social and largely aim to focus on the child's self esteem; their ability to achieve their desired goals and be successful in life.

The workshop encompasses games,perception exercises, develops thinking skills and includes visualisation and relaxation techniques.They study contemporary role models to inspire their own goals.
