Songs from Holiday Workshops

Kingshurst Primary 15th April, Easter Holiday Club Songs with Skatz

Year 6 - ‘Being Famous’

CHORUS:

We dream of being famous

We dream of being entertainers

We don’t wanna be nameless

We just wanna be famous

We like to rock out

We want pa-pa-paparazzi

We want our very own key to fame

We wanna look co-co-co-co-cool in school

Shopping in New York

Sweet as apple sauce and pork

Football and friendship

Make the boys go frenzied

OOh OOh!

Year 4 & 5 - ‘It’s Easter, have a chocolate cow!’

CHORUS:

It’s time to chillax now

It’s Easter, have a chocolate cow

Watch CBBC not CBeebies

Don’t get the heebeegeebies watching CBeebies

Have some fun with your family

And eat some Easter eggs

Try not to get too chubby

Get out your dancing legs (Boing!)

Year 3 - ‘Holiday Club’

Listen to the song

CHORUS:

Holiday Club is fantastic

Holiday Club, it blew my mind

Holiday Club is a brilliant place

Holiday Club is amazing, supertastic, fandabilocious

We’ve done candle dipping

We’ve done gods eye weaving

We’ve done rubber band rolling

Meeting, talking, dancing

CHORUS

One of us was Mopsy

One of us was Flopsy

Peter, he was naughty

In our drama story

Nechells Easter Programme Extended Schools April 2010

Many thanks for WFS's fabulous efforts this week, all of which contributed to a very successful Easter holiday programme. It was very hard work for all involved but all the more rewarding too. Over the course of the week we were able to gauge the children's interest and enjoyment and I am happy to say that the Parent Evaluation forms that I have briefly scanned are even more positive.

Many thanks, Carole

My experience with WFS has been an extremely positive one, I have found them to be a reliable, dedicated and highly professional organisation. Their delivery of an Easter holiday programme was jam-packed, dynamic and thoroughly entertaining for everyone involved. The resources used were of a very high quality and the varied menu of activities ensured that there was something for everyone and engaged the children from start to finish. Both child and parent evaluations were highly complimentary of the programme with the only negative being that the programme should have lasted another week!!! The staff were friendly, dedicated and child-focussed – showing a genuine interest in the children with an overall objective to provide them with a positive experience.

In terms of the planning and delivery of the programme, WFS were prompt, reliable and highly competent. They instilled me with confidence particularly on the first day - everything ran like clockwork because due consideration had been given to the “devil in the detail”. I was grateful to be able to relax the reins and leave WFS (Adele Deane) to manage as well as deliver the project.

An important outcome in my brief to WFS was to incorporate collaborative work for all participants and to engender team spirit into the programme. This was successfully achieved through the batik workshop and the music/singing and drama performances in front of parents. It was a delight to see the increased confidence levels and sense of achievement from the children. Also the finished Batik masterpiece now adorns our office wall and is a permanent momentum of the efforts of our “My Choice” Easter 2010 cluster community.

WFS are certainly value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending them, so much so that I have already booked them for the forthcoming summer holiday scheme.

Thank you Adele and the team for making this a memorable experience.
